Consumer Protection Officials Investigate Iowa City Mobile Home Park

Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller personally toured the Regency mobile home park on Monday, and afterwards stated that things there needed to change. State Alleges Cedar Rapids Residential Care Facility Falsely Claimed to be Licensed Nursing Facility

The Des Moines Register reports that the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals has determined that Emeritus at Silver Pines in Cedar Rapids has been falsely claiming to be a state-licensed assisted living center. Brady & O'Shea filed a class action earlier this year under Iowa's Consumer Fraud Act on behalf of current and former residents of Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids claiming that the facility falsely claimed to be state-licensed to provide care to persons with dementia.
