Iowa City Woman Found Guilty in Obama Records Case

The jury in a Davenport, Iowa federal court trial has found Sandra Teague, 54, of Iowa City, guilty of illegally accessing then-candidate Obama's student loan records. Teague was charged with one count of exceeding authorized computer access, a Class A misdemeanor. She claimed at trial that someone else had accessed the records using her information. The jury deliberated Wednesday morning and returned a verdict just before noon. Ms. Teague faces up to a year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Ms. Tegaue was one of nine people charged with accessing the records while they were employees of Vangent Inc. in Coralville. Seven of the nine defendants have pleaded guilty or are scheduled to do so, and one other case remains set for trial.
