Mortgage Lenders Improperly File Foreclosure Documents

Foreclosure proceedings throughout the country have uncovered that mortgage lenders such as GMAC, JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America may have filed fraudulent documents in order to speed up the foreclosure process. Depositions of employees of mortgage lenders have uncovered that numerous employees signed affidavits in support of the foreclosure proceedings without even reading them. This practice, which the press has termed "robo-signing" appears to be widespread and has prompted an investigation by attorney generals throughout the nation and by private attorneys representing homeowners that were victimized by the fraudulent practice.

Brady and O'Shea's Real Estate Department has represented homeowners in foreclosure proceedings and their Litigation Department has represented numerous victims of consumer and financial fraud.
