Bicyclist hit by truck and killed in Eastern Iowa

A 33 year old Oregon man was struckand killed by a truck when the dirvier attempted to pass him. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the truck driver reported that he straddled the center of the road as as he was in the process of passing the bicyclist, and while doing so his right front tire blew out, causing his truck to pull to the right into the the bicyclist. The incdent occured on HIghway 85 three miles east of Montezuma i Poweshiek County, Iowa.
