Driver Going Wrong Way Causes Car Accident on Highway 58 in Cedar Falls

A three-car accident on Highway 58 between Greenhill Road and University Avenue in Cedar Falls caused a temporary closure of the highway around noon on Tuesday. Authorities report that Viola Peters, 88, of Wellsburg, Iowa was driving southbound on the northbound side of the highway. Peters' vehicle collided with the vehicle criven by Jalia Ravn, 20, of Cedar Falls. Ravn's car was then rear-ended by a semi driven by James Hnsel, 53, of Dyersville, Iowa.
Cedar Falls Police Chief Jeff Olson reports that all the injuries were minor.
