Second Iowa Egg Producer Issues Recall

A second egg producer, Hillandale Farms of New Hampton, Iowa, has issued a recall of eggs that could be contaminated with salmonella. The eggs were sold in Arkansas, California, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin under the brand names Hillandale Farms, Sunny Farms, Sunny Meadow, West Creek, and Wholesome Farm.
Eggs included in the recall are from plant P1860 with Julian dates ranging from 099 to 230 and plant P1663 with Julian dates ranging from 137 to 230. Consumers who purchased recalled eggs should discard them or return them to the point of purchase.
